In the beginning, there existed nothing but an endless gaping abyss—
A yawning chasm of pure potentiality the ancient Greeks called Chaos.
This was the primordial void itself—the creative source from which all existence emerged.
From that void arose Nyx—goddess of Night.
She held supreme authority over prophecy and divination. The mysteries hidden in darkness were not concealed through malice—they represented knowledge that could only be perceived when the distracting influences of daylight were removed.
The darkness is not absence.
It is the womb where new realities gestate.
This is why every great goddess myth—Persephone, Inanna, Demeter—involves a descent to the underworld.
They do not descend because they are punished.
They descend because power lives in the depths.
Winter Solstice is your invitation to do the same.
To meet yourself in the darkness.
To emerge as Queen of your own becoming.
